Captain Position:
Candidates must possess a valid TWIC card, hold a Master of Towing Vessels with Western Rivers credential, hold a current radar endorsement, and meet USCG physical examination requirements. Must be subject to a background check, pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test, and be subject to a 90-day trial period also including random drug testing. Must hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation. The candidate must be able to work a 12-hour watch, be able to climb steep stairs, and be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Deckhand Position:
This is an entry-level position with training included. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license, and have reliable transportation. Must be subject to a background check and be able to obtain a valid TWIC card. Must be able to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test, and be subject to a 90-day trial period also including random drug testing. Aspects of the job include heavy lifting, working a swing shift, handling deck/dock related duties, and taking orders from the Captain.
Welder Position:
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license, and have reliable transportation. Must be subject to a background check, pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test, and be subject to a 90-day trial period also including random drug testing. The candidate must have a basic knowledge of various welding equipment and be proficient with stick welding and cutting torches.
